I'm not too familiar with this kit, but if it's a multiple carburetor setup, I would go to a motorcycle shop and purchase a carburetor tuning gage ($60-$80). It's basically a set of vertical cleartube apparatus that is filled with mercury. THere are four hoses, each of which is then plugged into a vacuum port on the carburetor. The vacuum will suck the mercury up the cleartube and from viewing how far the mercury climbs up the cleartube or thereabouts is where you try to adjust the air calibration on each carb so that all of the mercury sits evenly across the gage. The mercury should not bob up and down the gage and it should and it shoud read pretty steady across all of the carbs.

When you pick up the carb tuning gage, instructions should follow to tell you how to read the gage. It's pretty simple, once you do it.

: I just installed a kit of weber DCOE 40 kit from Bavarian which required porting the head to install. Any way I did it, now I can't tune them, the 316 car accelerates great but only in flat straight roads, as soon as you start climbing a hill you are forced to use 2nd and 1st gears. Idling is totally erratic.
:
: is there any special procedure for tuning these carbs?
: I got the haynes weber manual, does not help too much.

: Does the distributor affect that much sidedrafts? with the 32/36 DGAV it worked pretty fine.

: Any advice will be greatly apreciated.
