Help-Fuel Pump fuse blowing (archive)

A week ago I had to replace both fuel pumps in my 83 320i. Today it blew the fuel pump fuse. If I replace it the car starts and runs for 5 seconds and the fuse blows again. I am looking for some advice and direction. Where do I start troubleshooting this?
