: I am about to replace my heater valve. Is this a difficult process? Any tips? Thanks, Jim

Jim I hope you still see this. I had a 320i for 13 years. I replaced the valve once(early style) I had to remove the heater box to do it. If you were really patient and somewhat of a contorsionist you could do it in the car. However, I have a better solution. When the valve failed again (lasted maybe a few years) I bought the late style valve. This is the one located in the engine bay. I spliced it in and ran the cable in through the fire wall. I then spliced the new cable with the old. E-mail if you want more info. dianachris@AOL
