Advice on Purchasing 320i from 02 owner (archive)

I have a 74 02 that i'm restoring, about done, and i'm looking for a second car to drive for fun and not spend too much money on. Any advice on what year 320i to look for, and what else to be concerned with, and also how much slower is the 320i than a 325. TIA
