THe LHD lights throws a bright and high beam pattern towards the right side of the curb so that one can see signs and pedestrians on the curb side. Additionally, there's a sharp cutoff designed for the left side of the vehicle to prevent glare towards oncoming traffic as well as casting glare spots on the rear view mirrors of the car in front of you.
The RHD lights do the precisely same thing, except the bright beam pattern shines towards the left of the curb and the sharp light cutoff is now on the right side of the vehicle.
Using RHD lamps for LHD driving environments will drastically alter the illuminance pattern and also blind oncoming traffic. Other motorists will get annoyed and a loss of sign lighting.
: Does anyone know the different between the headlights for LHD & RHD ? I want to order from Cibie USA but they only have the LHD version stock & I do mind to want for their special RHD version from France for about 6 weeks to them & 2 weeks to me.
