I had the same problem with a fold down bench in my chevy. Here's what I would try:
-If the seat releases on one side and not the other, then the linkage on the other side might be sticky. I used a tiiiny bit of silcone-base grease to lube the hinged part where the seat releases.

-If it's completely stuck, pull off the cover plate, and see if the linkage is still connected. (in my case, the screw where the relase lever and the "pully-uppy" lever was so loose that it just wiggled. Tightening the screw solved the problem.
I'll check out my recaros tommorow, I'm not sure of the exacts in this case, but I'm sure it's not too much diffrent.
