Drawing from my E28 535i, there were five (maybe six) buttons each labeled " 1,2,3,4,5,(6)". I simply punched in my code as soon as I turn on the radio. If the code says, say...22322, hit the button w/ the numeral 2 twice, hit the button w/ the numeral 3 once, and hit the button with numeral 2 twice again. The radio should clear the word "CODE" from the control panel and reset automatically back to operation thereafter.

Try that. If all else fails, bring it into BMW dealer, they would/should do it for no charge.

i>: I just bought my car and had to replace the battery. THe radio needs to be reset. It says "Code" when I turn it on. I have the code of course, but no radio manual to tell me how to reset. Can anyone help?
