Hello, this is only the 2nd time I posted in this board. I just purchased an abandoned 82 320i. The previous owner left it to rot with a leaking clutch master cylinder (now I know why, considering how hard it was to change). The leak was so bad that it has soaked the cars' entire carpeting and floor insulation with brake fluid. I was told the car has not run in two years. Surprisingly, all it needed to run when I picked it up was a new battery and air in all four tires =). It ran fairly well considering everything. It is quite a bit sluggish on pick-up but runs well over the 85mph spedo in the fwy.

Since purchasing it I have replaced the clutch master cylinder. I have also replaced the cars' entire interior insulation and carpeting with original items from the dealer(parchment interior). With a little cleaning here and there & taking the old tint out, the car's interior looks great.

Now, for the question. Since I am rebuilding the engine. I need to know if it is possible to mate a
2.0 block from <79 model to an 80> head??? Thank you in advance for your help. I will post pictures of my project car next time.

Aris
