Funny that you bring up removal of the starter because I just serviced my starter. I can tell you from experience that there is nothing to be concerned about with getting access to the starter with the six cylinder manifold above it. I pulled out the heater hoses so I can access the top starter nut&bolt. I accessed the other starter nut& bolt from below the car and also accessed the support bracket at the rear of the starter from underneath as well. Slid the starter out from below car. (20 minute job for me
