In Reply to: How do I know if its 3.9 or 3.64 diff.? posted by Tallent on February 23, 2000 at 23:05:07:

Simply mark a position on one output shaft, and the input shaft relative to the diff housing. Count the number of revs the input shaft makes to complete one rev of the output. The number of turns the input shaft makes is the ratio. 3.9:1 or 3.64:1.

: I always want to find out what diff. ratio I'm using on my 323i. I did't put too much concern when I bought this( LSD ) together w/ a 5 spd cr box many years ago. Does anyone know how to check it out?
