This depends on if you start with a 320/318/316/315 or a 320/6 / 323i.

If your car is a factory 4, the trans will bolt up to a big six. you will need a 323 crossmember and some fabrication. Go easy on the trans.

If your car is a 323i or 320/6 the 325i engine will bolt to your existing trans. See Arne's page but its basically a bolt in if you use an "i" engine. An "e" engine will require welding for the transmission pickups.

: ive heard of this convertion being done but im sure its a lot of work. has any one ever seen one of these or posabaly done the convertion them selves? what about a 325 engine? its a smaller block 6 and should be easier to fit but where do i start? any replys would be a great help, thanks.
