: Was driving home tonight doing just fine. Cruising @ 50mph or so. Started to b/fire, sputter and jerk......
Well, folks. I've read it a dozen times in bmw faqs around the net. I've read it in manuals. I've practiced it in the past.......
Start with the basics. Point blank. Speaking of points. Lesson well learned here. If you haven't done it, do it now....buy an extra set of "QUALITY" point and keep 'em in the glove box. Not that old burned up set you have from the last tune up, but new ones.
Points fixed it. Geez... 7 dollar points and 120 dollar tow bill.
The good news is the tow truck driver noticed we grow trees here on the farm and wants to buy some! Cool :-)hmmmm.lessee....that'll be 2 trees @ 60 bucks a pop....whadya think? Deal?
