A three day "gas out" might make you feel good but it has very little effect on gas prices. If, as an oil company, I didn't sell any gasoline for three days yet sold my normal amount for the month, I wouldn't move my prices at all!

If you want to have any effect, get your local newspaper to do what a newspaper up where I live is doing. They are publishing the name and location of the staion with the lowest cost/litre each day. The price has dropped in the region by approx. four cents.
