Think you've heard everything? Bought an excellent 77 320/6 but with a whomped engine. Tried to find a 325i engine for swap, but settled for a good 325e eta engine. Bolted up easily, including the Solex carb! However, the 3.64 diff results in high cruising RPM and constant flirting with the redline. Would like to fit a lower value diff, e.g. 3.25. The question is: will an E36 diff bolt up to the E21? The 323i diff at 3.45 wouldn't make enough difference. Could use the 325e 2.78 diff - would it fit? Thanks guys.
