I would think it to be the slave cylinder, IF you've come down to conclusion that it can ONLY be either of those. When was the last time you replaced the entire clutch? Pressure plate and all? When a clutch is on its way out, it can act like that. I dont know if this was any help but i tried!


: My 80 320i clutch travels almost to the floor before it disengages and then hardly seem like it wants to come up when I let off. It moves up slowly by itself.
: Sometimes I have to double clutch to get it in first.
