CARB INFO NEEDED!!!! (archive)

I own 2 1602 and I saw an 1,6liter engine from a 316 E21 in a wreckyard with a SOLEX DBF .This carb is double like an weber dgv and has water choke. I wonder if this is the stock carb?? Iīve read in a magazine that the E30īs 316 had 75 hp and a pierburg carb.I thought that both used pierburgīs.I need to know if it stock, if it is reliable and how much hp in stock form, if itīs stock. My 1602īs are running on stock single solexes. PLEASE HELP!!
ps:I live in Portugal, in Europe.
