I took a driving instructor around the racetrack in my 320i turbo, his first comment was on how much torque it had pulling out of the slow corners. The guy owns a new corvette so I figure he knows what he is talking about when it comes to torque.
True turbo's have been done, but I think a supercharger would be harder to adapt.
Keep us posted, I always like to read about how things work out.
: thanks for your input Paul...i checked what you said, and i agree 6psi is about the limit, but thats enough for me...As far as turbo...frankly, its been done...besides, supercharging appels to me more, better low end torque responce...in theory the basic set-up shoule be about the same...if you have any other insight, it would be much appreciated...thanks again
: : stock injection will handle about 6psi, after that you need to modify the warm up regulator.
: : Why not turbocharge it?

: : : Okay, here's my question...does anyone out there have any info about putting one of these new small blowers on a 78' 320i....I have done some research and found out that the fuel injection system can handle about 8 psi of boost...my question is, can it be done? or should it be done?...or should I just go the same route everyone else seems to and put duel webers and a fat cam...thanks for you input
