Get the book from Robert Bentley on Bosch Fuel Injection (not sure of title off the top of my head). Read it so you understand what is happening inside the CIS. The warm up regulator modifications im talking about require an audi turbo warm up regulator body, which has a manifold pressure port on it. This allows positive pressure to decrease control pressure, which allows more fuel to flow to each injector(basically). This will work to aprox. 12psi. Then the only way I could see a further gain is to increase fuel pressure based on boost or swap in a larger CIS system. I never went this direction. 12+/-psi was the most I ran with CIS.
I switched to an SDS programmable efi system, and will never look back. The way it is set up now rivals my A3 VW Jetta for startup/warmup/cruising/ and highway milage. Very civilized to say the least.: What type of mods do you suggest making to the CIS injection, warm up regulator etc. Any help is much appreciated.

: : stock injection will handle about 6psi, after that you need to modify the warm up regulator.
: : Why not turbocharge it?

: : : Okay, here's my question...does anyone out there have any info about putting one of these new small blowers on a 78' 320i....I have done some research and found out that the fuel injection system can handle about 8 psi of boost...my question is, can it be done? or should it be done?...or should I just go the same route everyone else seems to and put duel webers and a fat cam...thanks for you input
