Single headlight e21? What gives? (archive)

I ran across an e21 today at a wrecking yard that had single headlights (7") and euro chrome bumpers. It was a late model 320i that had been retrofitted. Which e21's had single headlights? I don't think I've ever seen one before. I didn't see anything else on the car that looked like it had been changed.
