Sway Bar bushing replacement. (archive)

I am ready to replace the front sway bar bushings on my 83 320i. I have never done any suspension work. My bushings at control arm to sway bar have a metal sleeve. I would appreciate the advise from you guys who have done this.
How do I do this job? Do I need special tools?
