I have an 83 320is and I am glad my dad passed this on to me. To me this is a wellbuilt,reliable, and user friendly car. The s model is definitely fun. A stick shift is for sure peppy. Unfortunately my Recaros wre stolen but I am sure the comfort is amazing. The extra options on the S like the LSD, steering wheel, front spoiler, tool box, and sway bars really make a difference. I have some cross drilleds on my and the stopping is surprising. I have 60K on my 83 and plan on keeping it going for as long as I can......Vinny
