Dan,

That is one of my options. I have yet to drive the car but the guy who's selling it has owned it for 12 years (2nd owner) and says that if he keeps it he'd do the swap...the tranny needs a rebuild/replacement as well. I am really intigued at the possibility of keeping the engine, but wonder what the cost of a rebuild (top and bottom+tranny) would be versus say a complete 87-91 325i driveline as a package. Can anyone ballpark what the money difference might be...?

Thanks Dan,

-Chris

: : I've driven two or three different 323i's over the years and thought they were great cars in the stock configuration. One had mods to its suspension and an aero package but a stock motor and it was fantastic!

: What's your reason for wanting to swap?
