Maybe you're right, but why a different plug to fill the gas in... ??? And southern Europe is quite hot too... they made these special parts only for USA... and i know USA had some technological advance about aborting R12 for R134a so probably i'll have to but the filling plug to be sure... And by the way if they needed more efficiency in the USA, the part they would have changed too is the compressor... all the parts that have this special identification correspond to the part that need to be changed for R134a upgrade. They keep all the other parts numbers : evaporator, condensor...
But i can't tell who's right or wrong... we just need to piss BMW America off to have them tell us the truth about those parts.
