In the USA, the brake booster & master cylinder sits like on any left hand drive car, incl. Euro model, which is to say on the dash panel in the engine bay close to the steering column (on the left of the car). I think on a right hand drive, this part sits above the lights at the front right end of the car.
The master brake cylinder is the same no matter if the car is automatic or standard, but differ from a RHD or LHD.
parts numbers of master cylinder are as follows... no matter what year is the car :
LHD : 34.31.1.120.032 (Euro & US, standard & automatic)
RHD : 34.31.1.120.218 (Euro standard & automatic... no RHD in the US)
for RHD car, there was another part number that is no longer used... it was 34.31.1.120.217
and USA has model of master cylinder with part # 34.31.1.151.850 (US only).

if you are looking for the brake booster as well, the part # also differs from LHD ot RHD.
If you have any other question to know the exact part number, e-mail me with your car ID # (the last 7 digits), so i can make sure i give you the precise answer.
