As far as I can tell, there is no service possible to the steering box.

R

: Question:

: Is it necessary/advisable to drain oil & refill the steering box as routine maintenance ?

: Should servicing steering box oil be performed every 25k miles or each time the timing belt's replaced?

: How difficult is this to do at home (ie, is there a drain plug & refill hole located on the box ? )

: what type of oil should be used ? I would like to use synthetic but would like to hear from others whether using
: synthetic will result in leaks with existing gasket.

: thanks
