Look in the swap meet area (if you hav'nt yet been there) and you'll see a couple of adds there that may help. I contacted Bill Proud and bought one of the Haynes manuals that he sells. He has a friend that hand carries them back from Europe. These manuals do not have rebuild info for the transmission though. Apparently they did untill they inserted a supplement for the Motronic motors, or something like that.

Hope this helps, congrats on the baby. I just bought an 80 323i that went directly to the shop for major work so I have not yet been able to get my Ya Ya's out. It's killin me.
