As an alternative if anyone knows how to transfer it to a cd-rom, id be willing to try that.
The trans should be similar/identical to a 245 from a 320 as far as INTERNALS go.
David at 2002 restorations has an origional paper manual, and might be willing to scan or copy selected pages for you. (he also might not) and while you are talking to him, buy a lower front tie bar from him.

: First off, I posted here a while ago (two months) when I was thinking about buying my 323i. Thanks for all of the advice and answering my questions, guys! I wish I had gotten a bimmer sooner! The car I ended up purchasing is a 79 with an 88 325i swap in it with about 120k on the engine and 200+ on the chassis (i think). The guy that had it before kept the k-jetronic and everything else that was cool about the euro models, added flo fits, plus he gave me (with the car price of 2k, of course) two sets of wheels and an extra factory spoiler for the front . . . the car rocks!!! So, last week I just took it on it's first real road trip: 700+ miles over a weekend on my way to and from Moab, UT from Golden, CO (home). HOLY SHIT. I had fun playing on I-70 west in western colorado in the canyons with a cherry late 70's 280z that had plenty of pull to keep up and a radar detector that I lack. On the way back, in Utah, I got the car up to over 120mph and then decided that I value my time out of jail a whole lot, so I toned it down . . . So, in other words, I love my 323i and plan on keeping it for a long, long time!
: So, anyway . . . I need to get a copy of the shop manual for my bimmer, and would appreciate it if anyone can point me in the right direction off of the top of their head. I remember some discussion a few months back about copying and binding the manuals since they are no longer available. Is anyone willing to make me a copy or does anyone have an extra laying around? I definitely need to get my hands on one asap because I need to start fooling around with the tranny . . . first redline MTL, but it seems that eventually my third gear synchro is going to totally go, so I'll definitely need it then.
: Thanks for reading my long-winded post . . . and happy motoring!!!!
