If your are not unhappy with the acceleration with the 4 speed, try it with the 3.64 first. I did this with our 77 years ago (85K miles). Much more pleasant to drive on the highway and better mileage too. You can always put in the 3.90 later (you may have to change the hubs or halfshafts to do it). You'll really like having the fifth gear!
