Make sure that all of your vacuum lines are good, (this means good!) Make sure that the intake boot is good. Make sure that your fuse to the fuel pump is making good contact and clean the fuel pump relay contacts (I just had this problem). Once you do this then you can start playing around with CO level adjust and fuel mix.Hope this helps.

: Recently I purchased my second Bimmer an 80 320i. This is my 1st encounter with the fuel injection cars. The car starts great and idles smoothly, however when I accelerate and try to shift it falls flat and feels as though it runs out of gas. When I lift from the throttle it comes back. Fuel pump sounds strong, have not changed filters yet nor have I dug into any other mechanicals.
: Any suggestions where I should begin?
