: Fuelpump and Diode relay?

i had a 318i before and the diode relay and fuel pump relay are located in the fusebox... the plug to the fuel relay looks different than other relays and you have one of the metallic tab that plugs that is really small on it. Also try the relay that is called 'Entlassungs relai' in German which cuts all the external power consumers to give all the strengh to the starter (cuts A/C blowing, rear window defrosting...) during the start of engine.
For your information, most of the relays are the same, besides the fuel pump relay and maybe one other. You could check using the headlight relay to replace for example. You could also try to do the job jeopardising the fuel pump relay at least to see if it starts before buying a new relay. But take care not to do a short if you use a wire.
