temp. reading problem (archive)

Here's my problem:

My temp. gauge points half of a quater higher than when I switch off the headlights & A/C ( w/ the engine runs ). The reading seems to be correct when I switch off the engine( key turns in half way ).

It seems like to me that the electric supply is not enough or short. Which parts should I check for ?
