: My 1980 320 is blowing oil up through the primary air hose situated on top of the cylinder head and leading to the carb. It seems to happen at high revs, normally when I have accelerated to speeds of between 60 mph and upward - any ideas on solving this problem,
: I thought initially that it would be due to a rich mixture, but I have ruled this out.

: David: thanks for your reply, did you have any luck contacting your friend - it's good to know I'm not the only one that has had this problem.

OK, i checked with my friend and he said it is normal... even if you buy a new hose, the problem will come back because the oil always come there to lubricate the carb. He tried to fit a metallic can to get the oil, but had to lubricate the carb very often... so he put it back as origin... The problem seems even bigger on high revs (RPM) and long drives. The only thing would be checking that the hoses are tighten correctly and also checking that your carb seals are in good condition... be careful to respect torque if you feel like dismantling the carb.
