: : I recently got my hands on a 81 323i with a 3 spd automatic tranny...The previous owner told me that it had an intermitent starter problem..After doing some troubleshooting I have found that the clip that operates the neutral safety switch was broken..the switch had gotten into a position that would prevent the the car from relialbly starting..Presently I have the cover off the gear selector to prevent it from happening until I get another switch..Anyway...Bavarain Autosport sell the piece I need, only thing is they have two different models listed...One for the 320i and the other for the model 5,6,7...My problem is I am not sure which one to get...any help would be appreciated
