Tom, replace both the slave and master at the same time. The parts are cheap, and if you are going to do one, the other should be replaced, too. These are a weak design in an otherwise pretty durable car. In 19 years, I've replaced them 3 or 4 times. Also, this is a good time to drain and replace all your brake fluid. Be sure to use DOT4, and don't spill it on the paint or you clothes or face. Have phun.
