i had the dreaded cold/warm start problem so long that i said the hell with it. after troubleshooting the regulator, temp/time switch, cold start valve, wiring, ahhhhh!!! i disconnected the circuit and installed a red button on the dash so i could manually fire the cold start valve and 'prime' the car in order to start it. starts every time now wether it wants to or not >:o|

i would make sure you have tracked down all your vaccuum leaks and fuel leaks. also, verify ignition.

how did the baffle plate get damaged?
