Even though you state you don't have the dreaded 320i wheel shimmy(neither do I), the BMP catalog sells a anti-shimmy kit to take up the slack I believe you are describing. It is like $25.00 and consists of some urethane washer type peices as far as I know. I haven't noticed any gaps on my car, so I haven't ordered it, but I'm going to look closer now that I read your post. Many times I have noticed how close my front wheels come to the front of the fender and my front end never has felt tight enough even though I have lowering springs, stiff shocks, all new bushings.... Let's figure this out!!!
