Gauges doing wierd stuff (archive)

Question to other 320i owners: If you rap on the clear plastic that covers the gauges, speedometer, etc. on your car, do your fuel and/or temp gauges also move?

Mine do, is that normal?

Also, my speedometer needed jumps around a lot, whether I'm idling or driving at freeway speeds. Any clues?
