If I'm not mistaken, isn't there also a fuel pump inside of the tank ? If so, then the tank pumps fuel to the the fuel pump located above the drive axles. That in itself would suggest positive pressure pushed through the fuel lines in question.

: Discovered that the cloth coated rubber fuel line that go from the fuel tank to the fuel pump & accumulator have gone rotten. Went to pick up some some up today & could find no cloth covered - went to the local auto parts store to purchase rubber type fuel line. The guy told me as the car is fuel injected that they would not hold the pressure. My thoughts are that they are on the suction side of the fuel pump & should not be under the high prussure. Any thoughts?
