: Using the station pre-set buttons you enter the code (for example: if the first code number is 4 depress the first pre-set button 4 times, etc). Once you have the code entered on the display, press the station change button (up or down). If you have made several attempts and failed your display will show a series of dashes. I think you need to disconnect the battery to clear this. You must have the word CODE on the display before you can enter the code. Hope this helps.

I had this problem and I had to turn the ignition key to ACC for 1 Hour
( or run the car for over an hour before the radio would take the code.
