To carburate or not to carburate? (archive)

I'm considering yanking the K-Jet CIS out of my 1980 323i and replacing it with a big fat Holley 4 barrel carburetor. I just installed a new 2.7l with a Schrick 272 and the fuel system just is'nt quite what it could be and no, I don't have the time or $ to convert to Motronic... Any comments??
