With a conversion to Motronic you wouldn´t gain power. I also have a 323i 2.7 with CIS. With the CIS the engine runs much more aggressive than with the Motronic.
I´ve also driven a stock 323i and a 323i with the Solex 4A1 from the 320/6. It was no real difference.
Now I convert to three Weber 40 IDF carb.

: I'm considering yanking the K-Jet CIS out of my 1980 323i and replacing it with a big fat Holley 4 barrel carburetor. I just installed a new 2.7l with a Schrick 272 and the fuel system just is'nt quite what it could be and no, I don't have the time or $ to convert to Motronic... Any comments??
