Ignition coil question on '78 320i (archive)

The positive wire on my coil is corroded to the point that the coil is not getting any fire. Is there a place close to the coil that I can get 12 volts from only when the ignition is on? I really don't want to run a new wire all the way to the ignition, and the current wire is wrapped with several other wires in a plastic mesh, that I don't want to have to strip back.

Thanks,
Mark
