Exaust loose (archive)

One of the clamp things that holds the exaust on has came loose, I've taken the car to the local garage but they want to charge some outragious fee to fix it back in place, can it be done by hand? Its not came off, its just rattleing when you start the car. Its an 316 e21 1982.
