Hi All!
I'm looking for a nice BMW to purchase as a daily driver (my '85 635 has become sort of a garage queen) and I'm researching E28s and E21s. I've got a handle on what I'd choose in an E28, but what is generally considered the best year for E21s? I've been told the model to get would be an '82-'83 320is. . .agreed? Any special trouble area to watch out for? Thanks for your help!

The 323i is the one to buy. They don't sell for that much more than a nice 320i, and they have the much more attractive euro bumpers, as well as 4-wheel disc brakes, neat dual exhaust, and six cylinder power with reliable Bosch k-jet fuel injection. Watch out for rust, though, as most euro models were not rust proofed as well as US models.
