If the handle broke off and the white plastic plate is still intact and connected on the roof, then it's a good chance that all you need is the crank handle. Since the plastic plate is only two screws away from removal, I recommend that you remove this and inspect it. WHen you remove the plastic plate, chances are a washer and snap ring will fall onto the console. This is what keeps the handle secured to the sun roof mechanism. WIth the plastic plate removed, inspect the condition of the conterbored holes captivating the two mounting screws. It's pretty flimsy in that area. Inspect the center hole where the crank handle fits through. Be sure there's no cracks or wear. If the contidion is questionable, definitely replace it. If not, reuse it. i>
The whole thing broke off, so do I just need a new crank, or what?
