All E-21 323i had the dual exhaust. The ones on mine are stock but Hartge, Alpina, and others made Exhaust with larger tips. Supersprint and Ansa made them with dual tips per side.

Spoilers were quite common and air dams were too. The earlier cars have a more agressive looking lower valence than the later (mine is later)

The closest us car is a 320i. (the only E-21 ever sold here.Officially) althogh a Callaway turbo 320i is the only one with comparable performance. The engine is an m-20 "baby six" the same as a 325 (@2.3 vs 2.5l) up to 91. Swaping in a 87-91 325i engine is quite popular. It can also be done to a 320 with some work. But if you start with a 320i a "big six" or e-30 m-3 engine is actually no harder.

if you go to my site and click "list all" on the webring, you can go to The E-21 grey market site, can give you the whole scoop, including a few for sale.

That's the car except for a couple of minor details - deeper front spoiler, trunk spoiler (looked more like an m-technic than an Alpina) and larger exhaust tips.

Did all 323i's come with the dual exhaust tip?

What's the closest US comparison to this euro model, the 320/6?

Neat car...

Devin
