That is the idle adjustment. The minimum air is a screw with a lock nut and should have yellow paint sealing it. assuming that the mi nimum air is correct, and that the timing is correct with no air leaks, set the idle to about 900-950 hot in neutral.


I have a 1982 323i and a friend was adjusting a large flat head screw on top of the throttle body. Does any one know if this is a idle adjustment? If not does an any one know how how to set this adjustment proplerly?
