I HAVE AN 83 BMW 320I, AND EVERYBODY TELLS ME TO GET RID OF THAT HIDIOUS E21 FRONT BUMPER!! I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHERE I COULD GET THIS DONE AT, BUT MY MAIN CONCERN IS APPROXIMENTLY HOW MUCH THIS WOULD HURT MY WALLET?

If you do the work yourself it's not too bad. I'm about to do it on my '82. Total of the parts involved is $329.00 and that includes the impact strip brackets and hardware. The only tricky part is you have to drill holes in the unibody rails to mount the brackets. The rear bumper is about the same price and level of difficulty. Check the local laws regarding bumper requirements before you start pulling parts off, though.

Matt
