I have an 83 320i and i put 6.5" MB Quartz seperates in the door super easy to install just take patern in box from speakers u buy and take your door panel off and cut a hole for the speaker where there is an opening in the door. (under the window crank- tight fit but it works and sounds great. Then the stereo i couldnt find something good that will mount there so i put in a non ac console my ac is busted anyway. What u can do is buy a tape deck then put a changer in the glove box. I took out the speakers in the rear 4x6 speakers are junk they give you voice and some highs and the seperates are so lound you can here them around the block so why spend money on speakers that cant keep up with 6.5". Then for lows put a sub in the trunk. I chose 2 sealed 12s because there real tight and play loud and low. Hope this helps email me with any questions.
