Idle Speed Question - please help (archive)

OK,

I'll ask another way. My idle speed varies for about two minutes during warm-up. Attempts to load the engine during this time cause a stall, until the engine is slightly warm (first indication of movement on the temp gauge).

IS this the warm-up regulator? All vacuum hoses appear in good shape. The car never did this until I recently replaced the O2 sensor. Incidentally, I drove for about 6,000 miles with the old O2 sensor disconnected, unbeknownst to me. Car ran fine, and even passed emissions.
